This one was a big «why didn't you do this to OD, too» question after Star Chart 3.0 when the Void got rid of the key-system.

The Kuva belongs to Kuva Siphon and Kuva Fortress. The Orokin Vaults belong to Orokin Derelict and Void The Void post-SC3.0, the Orokin Derelict now when Prime parts aren't dropping there, the Lua - all these regions, despite how beautiful they are, are either boring or has no purpose once you got all the Drift Mods, Argon, Bullet Dance, Octavia parts, Samples etc. None of those things in the second part of my post will COMPLETELY fix the issues, but they'll help address it and cure SOME of the symptoms.Seeing over and over again how people argue about Kuva that needs to be put in Kuva Fortress actually made me remember it's not just Kuva and the Kuva Fortress that have issues. Allowing random key drops addresses that slightly and people will be more likely to go do the Assassinate mission if they are getting the keys for free.

As for the Assassinate mission, people get tired of grinding for a key so they can grind for another key. Partially eliminating that key grind will insure that people continue to go to those places, which in turn insures that you'll be able to find people to go to those places with. In the time it takes to grind up a Derelict key, you could have easily ground up the mats you would have gotten with that key via other non-keyed planets. There are good mats and components to be had in Void and Derelict missions, the problem is the grind to get to them makes them pointless (especially Derelict missions). Obsolescence is going to be based on outcomes, not on availability. This used to be a reason to farm bosses until they became less consistent over time with rare drops than defenses. There's no good/real answer to obsolescence except the mats grind. How does this 'solve' anything? You're making it drop faster as a fix to obsolescence? That will cause it to become obsolete faster by allowing a faster grind for the people on top of it. * Derelict Assassinate keys would still have a chance to randomly drop or be rewarded in Derelict missions. Additionally, and maybe I'm blind, but there maybe should be blueprints available for the Void keys as well. You could either farm the mats for the keys, or play survival and defense missions much like you do now for Void keys. With these keys, what happens when a majority of players start to pass the content and it becomes "obsolete"? What do you do at that point? My suggestion is to make keys become random drops (except for Assassinate *) as well as being craftable. The second problem pertains to the Derelict keys, especially Assinate. This would lead to a consistent experience across all content. Why would this help out? For those that want to do these missions, it would be a vastly easier as you could implement the same lobby system that the rest of the star map uses. Anything on that secret planet that you don't have a key for would instead show the typical lock symbol and if you don't have any keys for that particular planet, that planet just wouldn't show up. Another key that could have a secret planet as well would be the clan key, showing something like a space ship floating around the star map somewhere. But, additionally, you'd be able to click on the secret planet and view a map of available missions based on which keys you have. When you acquire a key, you can still invite people and do things the traditional way. One for each tier of Void missions, and one for the Derelict missions (including Assassinate). As of right now, you'd have 4 secret planets. Now these wouldn't have to be planets, but they could be objects on the star map. A solution to that would be "Secret Planets" that would only appear when you have the appropriate keys. One problem with keys as they stand now is that you have to go through chat to find people to play these missions with.
